Blinds
Roman blinds will not have machine stitching visible on the face fabric, using barely visible stab stitches all layers are held together. This ensures that the blind, when fully lowered, shows off the beauty of the fabric only and is not spoilt by rows of machine stitches.
I recommend to fit roman blinds on to rotary track systems, operated by bead chain to one side (brass/satin nickel etc), ensuring easy use and protecting the condition of the blind. The blind is secured to the track when fitted and this is easily removed from the bracket/fixings for decorating walls (keeping the blind fixed to the track) – no cords or cleats!
Blinds can be simple and plain, or made to look very individual and bespoke with;
- contrast borders or hems
- addition of hand sewn inset or onset trims
- have deep or narrow cascades to the folds
- can appear to hang from a decorative pole above the track system for a very special look. >>See gallery<<
